Two Easy Ideas To Enhance Your Writing

If you want to be a writer, it\’s easier than ever these days. All you\’ve got to do is sharpen your game, find the write marketplace, and start selling your stuff. Compared to even five or ten years ago, it\’s easier than ever to start making some serious cash. With so many websites being born every single day, and more and more people moving some or all of their business online, you\’ll be making huge cash in no time.

It goes without saying that in order to profit, you\’ve got to have some kind of writing skill. Even if you are absolutely terrible today, there\’s no reason why you can\’t dramatically improve yourself with just a little bit of effort. All you\’ve got to do is apply yourself in the right way, and you\’ll improve in no time. The good news is that you are about to learn just how to do that.

Many people claim to be writers. And many of them actually write something occasionally. But very few of these people actually let other people read their stuff. Beyond that, you\’ve got to consistently write for other people to read, and either accept or reject your writing. This may seem emotionally painful at first, but it\’s truly the only way to improve yourself. Writing and getting feedback is the only way to get good enough to sell your stuff. It simply isn\’t going to happen any other way.

After you\’ve figured out where to write and publish your stuff, you\’ll need to actually measure the feedback. Take a look at your site statistics. These are available either on your own self hosted blog, or a free blogging platform. The articles you\’ve written that are good are the ones that people actually spend a lot of time reading. The ones that aren\’t so good are the ones where people read the first paragraph and then bail out. So look for posts that have a long on page time. These are your best pieces of work.

If you want another way to measure feedback, write for article directories. Then when you finish your article, you can leave a resource box. When a lot of people click on the link in the resource box, that means you\’ve done a good job. When nobody clicks on the resource box, you haven\’t done so well. So focus on whatever you are doing on those articles that have a high click through rate. These are clues to how to improve yourself.

These are two powerful ways to consistently and measurably increase your writing skill. When you feel you\’ve improved enough to actually sell your skills, start doing that. Use your blog and all your articles that you\’ve published as examples of your work. You\’ll be getting paid in no time.
