The coal industry proceeded over the growing trend in July and the output reached 260 million tons with an increase of 14.8% compared with that of last year.
However, it worth mentioning that the exports of Chinese coal are still not so good in July, with a drop of 60% year on year. According to the statistics from China Customs, the export volume of coal from January to July was 1.292 million tons, down by 57.3% year on year, raised by 3% compared with the decrease of June.
Every year, industries of power, steel, cement and chemical use up 90% of the total coal consumption of China. As the macro economy picks up, the above four segments are increasingly booming and the demand for coal rises obviously.
The average daily consumption of direct power supply was 2,060,000 tons in July, a link relative increase of 10.8% from the 1,860,000 ton of June, which shows that the short-term demand for coal is increasing.
The national 4 trillion economic stimulus plans in the first half year had take effect in the steel industry, and the demand for steel recovered with the pull of infrastructure investment plus the busy consumption season of the 2nd quarter. Recovery of the demand for steel drives the increase of coal consumption.
The cement output from January to May reached 570 million tons, an increase of 13.3% with a growth rate up by 4.3%. It is expected that from August to October, factors such as productivity policies, price advance in busy seasons and the newly-started real estate and so on will promote the demand and output of cements, which further makes the industry’s demand for coal vigorous.
In the first five months, the production volume of ammonia reduced by 1.3% compared with that of last year. Although the monthly output growth has rebounded from the bottom, at present downstream demand is still not so thriving.

- Your Small Business Needs a Toll-Free Number. Here is Why.
Small business startups and entrepreneurs have something in common. A vision of David and Goliath. Both invest a lot of resources into taking down the Big Bad Corporations that enabled them to start their own business. These small businesses and entrepreneurs possess the skills and right approach. They commit themselves (rightly) to the customer. Ultimately, they have all of the tools and attitudes needed to succeed. But then something happens. Either a few slow months or some kind of "spooky" incident drains these folks of their steam. When we ask what happened, we often hear that they just couldn't compete with the Big Boys (or in some paranoid cases we even get a "they had it out for me" excuse). Come on, who really believes this?
- Your Part-Time or Full Time Business?
One question I tend to get asked at this point is "Steve, should I run my new home-based business on a part-time or full time basis? - Should I give up my job and throw myself into it 100% both in commitment and time, or should I start working it just a few hours a week, part-time, initially?" Here's my thoughts...
- Your Own Small Business: Ebay Online Auction
People have been talking about making money online for years. In most cases they are referring to making money in an online auction called eBay. Perhaps you tried it a couple times. You may have browsed the sales and even made some tenuous bids. EBay is a revolving door of used and collectable items. There is also a large amount of new items which are offered for auction. It is a dizzying array of items: phones, DVDs, cars, vacation time in time shares, and about everything you can imagine. What you may not have realized is that online auctions are an opportunity for the little people, you and me, to start our own business and get our own products or inventions in front of the eBay public.
- Your Own Offshore Account
You've probably seen some sort of mob movie or seen on the news where a criminal has stored money in an offshore account. You may even associate an offshore account as being something that only the rich own because they are trying to evade taxes or they just want to show off how fancy their life is by bragging about their Swiss bank account. Whatever the reason for offshore bank accounts, they are not always for criminal activity. In fact, fewer individuals use them for criminal purposes and more use them as a way to save money.
- Your Organization Can Gain From Giving Away Corporate Gifts
While personal gift-giving to those close to you is a long-standing practice, few people are aware of the practice of offering corporate gifts. Corporate gifts are very distinct from gifts to near and dear ones as they are a gesture of thankfulness given to employees or clientele.
