Housekeeper Picture – Should You Place One On Your Resume
by Alice Sy
Your housekeeper resume should contain all of your skills and qualifications for the job and it is likewise necessary to put your housekeeper picture. By doing so, you will be able to present yourself in a proper manner to a potential employer.
All over the world, people voice out opposing opinions on whether or not a picture should be included in a resume. Some individuals argue that doing so is not advisable since it is an act of discrimination. This encourages employers to pick favourites based on looks alone. It is also possible that the applicant will be picked simply because she belongs to a particular race and not necessarily due to her skills. The applicant may also be judged according to age and gender. These are just a few disadvantages when including a photo in a resume.
There can be some truth to this fact: placing a legal sized housekeeper picture on your resume can assist employers in keeping track of all the applicants. Thus, there is also an advantage.
Most housekeeping employers nowadays prefer resumes with pictures. They would want to know ahead how an applicant looks like. Especially when they are living in an area that needs high security. To some employers, it will be better to read resumes without pictures so that their decision would not be affected with how the applicant looks. The picture can be forwarded afterwards.
Thus, whether or not you should include a photo in your resume depends entirely on the prospective employer. If the employer requests for it, then you need to provide a picture. Then again, there are employers who do not intend for their choices to be influenced by how the applicant looks like. Oftentimes, the applicants are requested for a personal interview. Afterwards, the employer will make his or her decision.
Majority of the agencies put a housekeeper picture for each online resume that they feature in their site to assist employers in narrowing down their search.
