There are work at home jobs available, that you can find online. Take the time, and weed out the bad ones; and you can find some honest-to-goodness, online jobs that you can do from home.
One such online, web site, of course, is Associated Content. As you know from working as a freelance writer, or Content Producer, for AC, this one does pay you for articles that you write, and that they can submit onto their AC website. For the most of us, you won’t get rich doing this, but it offers a lot. You get to write articles about what matters to you, and have them put online for others to read. This lets you use your writing talent, creative thinking skills, and computer skills, and get paid for it at the same time. Associated Content has more than 120,000 Content Producers pumping out articles for them. We wish that AC could get to our articles and publish them faster, but at more than 120,000 CP, it is amazing that they get around to all of our articles as fast as they do. Also, I really like the payment system.
The pay goes automatically over to PayPal, and then, you can have it deposited into your bank account or put onto a debit card. Also, if you don’t have a bank account, PayPal can provide you with your own PayPal debit card. I have seen no problems at all with AC. They even hold webinars about every month, that you can attend from home, telephone conference calls, and they inform you of the rules and regulations and best ways to make AC writing work for you. Also, there are forums and online help from other Associated Content writers.
nother web site that is available that provides you with the opportunity to work from home is Elance. If you have Web and Programming skills, Design and Multimedia skills, Writing and Translation skills, Administrative Support skills, Sales and Marketing skills, Finance and Management Skills, Legal skills, and/or Engineering and Manufacturing skills, and you are looking for work at home opportunities, then I recommend this one, too. At Elance, you are a freelance worker. Go to Elance, sign up, and then submit a profile for yourself, a resume listing your work history, your skills, and your education. List your skills and your skill level. For free, you can sign up, and be able to choose 1 of these fields to select work from. With this free sign up, you can select 3 jobs that you would like to bid on. On Elance, they have people/companies who are looking for good, qualified workers to do their work for them. You can click on each job that interests you, and bid on it. By that, I mean, that you read about the job that the person/company needs done, how much work there is to do, and the time frame that they want the work done in. Next, you can put in a bid for that job, just like others have done. What you do – is you submit a job bid price that you are willing to do the work for. Each job site will let you know when the bidding time is up. After that, you will know if you have been chosen. The one having the work that needs to be done, can contact you. You can each get together over the telephone, over the internet, or in person – and tell what both of you expect from the work relationship, write up a contract with all of the necessary factors put in, and both of you sign the contract. Then you begin the work. You can be paid by the person/company, at the end of the job or by certain milestones – which ever you both agree on. Also, if you want to be able to submit to more work per month, you can pay a low monthly price, under $10 a month, and be able to contact more work orders. Another good thing to do, is to verify your skills, by taking the tests for each skill that you submit, and paying a low price for Elance to verify each skill and work and education history. All of your verifications, your Elance work history, and skills will be available with your profile – for people/companies seeking workers to see. Most of these jobs are temporary, but there are a lot of (hundreds, thousands) listed on Elance, up for the taking. Elance also offers help and information forums for you to learn more and be able to get the most from your Elance experience. If you have any of the skills listed above, and I know that you do, and you want more work – more pay, then go to Elance and sign up.
Another web site that you can go to, and check out, is Triond. Triond offers article writing opportunities to those of us who enjoy writing and getting our articles out there; but Triond only pays by page views, no upfront monies. This is can increase your monies that you make though. You can take some of your articles that you have written for Associated Content – display only for instance – and put that article over on Triond, also, and make more money by page views. It is easy to sign up, and get started. They offer online information for you, too. Information to help you get started, what you can and can’t do, and best ways to do what you can do. At Triond, you are work freelance.Check out Triond, and increase your page views, and your earnings.
Alpine Access is a company that has a website that offers at home employment. With Alpine Access, you are an actual employ with Alpine Access. You can work part time or full time, from the comfort of your own home. You can set up your office or work space, the way that you like.
You will need a computer, a telephone, a corded headset, and a corded, landline telephone. First, you submit your resume to Alpine Access. Next step, if they are interested, is you answer more questions, and submit them to Alpine Access. If you pass, then you take an audio, virtual call center test, imitating actual calls from people wanting to purchase products or have more information. You listen over the headset and type in the correct information for each call. Next, you answer a series of questions where the company is finding out more about you and your personality, such as if you are trustworthy, dependable, a self starter, honest, a good worker, and a good fit for the company. After you pass all of these tests, Alpine Access emails you, and offers you a telephone interview – here they give you all of the computer/telephone/headset/work environment requirements that they have and find out if you and your equipment meet those requirements, and conduct an over the telephone interview.
If you pass this, and Alpine Access is interested in you working for them, the person will offer you a position with them, contingent on passing a background check, credit check, and a possible drug test. You will be required to pay $35 for these tests to be conducted. Then, if you pass all of these tests, you are offered a position with Alpine Access, and given a schedule. You will first go through training with a virtual, online trainer.
You can choose a part time schedule or a full time schedule. Alpine Access provides workers (you) for department stores, companies, needing Customer Care Professionals to take orders from callers who want to purchase their products, or more product information, take payments, get correct name and address, etc.
They pay about $7-$8 an hour during the training time, and $9 or $10 an hour after training is completed. Alpine Access also has benefits, such as medical and 401K available for employees. They want people who can work a minimum of 20 hours a week, and people who can commit for 9-12 months of working for Alpine Access.
1800Flowers, like Alpine Access, also offers work at home to those interested, who meet the requirements of 1800Flowers. First, you submit your resume, work history, and education. If interested, 1800Flowers contacts you, and signs you up for the next step. You are give tests – the virtual, call center test, and the written test.
The call center test imitates the real work that you will be doing to see how well you can do, and the written test is to see if you are what 1800Flowers is seeking – personality, character, honesty, work habits, etc. If you pass this testing, then they do a background and credit check on you, and have you fill out paper work, and notarize it, and return it to 1800Flowers. If you pass all of this and they are interested in you, 1800Flowers calls you and offers you a position with them. At 1800Flowers, you are an employee of 1800Flowers.
They pay about the same as Alpine Access. Most of the time, 1800Flowers will just need you to work for them during holidays, such as Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, busy holidays for the 1800Flowers. At this position, you will be taking orders from callers who are interested in purchasing flowers for someone. You take down all of the necessary information, such as name address, person and address to send flowers to, what the occasion is for, type of flowers they want, when to send them, telephone number, and payment information. What you need for this position is a computer, corded landline telephone, and a corded headset (all must meet requirements), a quiet work environment, and the ability to put in the work hours scheduled. You can work other holidays, too, if needed. Sometimes, they will keep you on in between holidays, with a possibility of 10 hours a week. This is a reputable company, and they provide a good online, on the telephone conference training program, and online help for when you are doing actual work.
If you enjoy talking with people on the telephone, helping them with their orders/purchases, enjoy working on the computer, and you meet the requirements, then go to 1800flowers.com, go to “employment” at the bottom of the screen and click on “employment.” Look for Customer Care Professional position (seasonal) and submit your application.
Another online opportunity to make money is with Ebay. Everyone is familiar with Ebay. You can sign up, get your payment information all set up, and beginning selling products online on Ebay. You can sell them by auction (where people bid on the item for a given period of time, until the bidding time is closed), or you can open up an Ebay online store of your own, and sell items outright. With a digital camera, first take a picture or pictures of the item/items that you want to sell. Submit the picture onto Ebay, where everyone can see it. Write up a good description of the item up for bid or for sale. This can be a good business venture.
You can decide how much effort and time that you want to put into getting items and submitting items for sale. You can have the buyers be the ones to pay for shipping and handling. You can decide how much money you want to make in this business – and how much time that you want to put into this business. This will be your business. You would not be an Ebay employee.
You can decide what type of items that you want to sell – big or small or both. If you have a storage place for your items that are going to be auctioning off or sold, this is the best. You can go bigger then, and auction off/sell more items. You can go to second hand shops, flea markets, yard sales, etc., and find items at a low price to sell for a bigger price. When auctioning items, you first decide if you want to put in a reserve price. This means that the bidder must bid higher than the reserve price to be able to buy the item. This is a good thing to do with bigger, more expensive items, such as automobiles.
Payments are pretty secure. Buyer and Seller are both protected with the use of Escrow for handling payments of merchandise. This is a really good business to get into, if you like to put in the time, and find items to sell, travel the second hand shops, etc., and then submit pictures and information online. It can be a lot of fun, too. Enjoy, and best wishes to you.
These listed above are worth looking at, and seeing if they are a fit for you – and you for them. These companies listed above are legitimate.
Best wishes to you in your work and money making endeavors.
