Some of the things that can negatively affect your credit are things that you might not have considered before. There are a few shocking things that we do that we wouldn’t think would have a harmful impact on our credit scores but they do.

An instance of this is the reality that closing a credit card account can negatively have an effect on your credit rating. It doesn’t really make sense that getting rid of credit could impair you but it does. Your credit score is to a degree based upon your debt compared to your sum of available credit. If you no longer have the obtainable credit then the ratio goes down and your credit score goes down.

Something else that is about the same is owning a credit card but not using it. Common sense tells you that if you don’t use it, it can’t damage you. However, a vendor can and will annul a credit line that is not used and then again you no longer have the accessible credit.

One more way to harm your credit score is to use too much credit even if you pay it off every month. If your running balance is high right through the month it affects you more than the fact that you pay it off every month. Try not to ever exceed more than 30% or your offered credit on one credit line in spite of of if you pay it off regularly or not.

Parking tickets and library fines may seem benign but they can end up on your credit report if you discount them, the same for behind time recurring bills such as a cell phone or a utility bill. As soon as a bill is referred for collections it can show on your credit report as a destructive.

When you apply for credit a hard inquiry will show on your report. If you have too many inquiries it is a negative for your score. Revolving credit such as department store cards is also looked upon as more damaging than other types of credit such as a car loan or a mortgage. It is probably not worth the 20% off that they give you on your buy to apply for their credit card.

It is crucial for you to check your credit report and score on a consistent basis. It is projected that as many as 75% of all reports include inaccuracies and inconsistencies. You have the right to dispute anything on your credit but if you don’t find out about it until you are denied credit it may be too late for you. Check your report habitually and get the inaccurate information removed. You are entitled to a free report from each of the credit bureaus one time per year. Take benefit of it.

The best and easiest way to deal with your credit is to stay on top of it. Be aware of the things that can cause you tribulations and steer clear of them. On the other hand, you will still likely see a few problems. When you do you can take the actions to repair your credit either on your own or with the aid of a professional credit repair service.

Repairing your credit may become essential at some point. If you need further information about credit repair program visit http://724Credit.com and don’t forget to sign up for a free credit repair course.

Bad credit history can bar one from getting a job, getting a loan, obtaining a lease or even in securing credit. Several people look for ways through which they can repair their credit in order to obtain or secure the credit they are looking for. This is because most of the lenders consider the credit history to be accurate and the best means that can help in judging an individual especially for prompt payments.

It is not a must that the entire process be complete before the payment is made. A typical complaint concerns the way in which the billing process is handled. For instance, some companies charge you immediately they have done the set-up and installation work and again at the end of the month. To begin with, it is very illegal for any company to charge any up-front fees. Only rogue companies handle business this way.

This tactic is truly quite ridiculous as it sounds because if the credit bureaus manage to prove all your reports, you are basically screwed. Why waste time when you should be concentrating your labors into really repairing your credit history?

Ensure that a company issues you with a copy of credit repair organizations act and advices you on the services that you can do by yourself. Any company that requests for money before any service is not reliable since the organizations act states that one should not pay until he or she has received the promised results.

Some of the additional services that you are entitled to include: validation, research, solving disputes concerning misrepresentation of credit facts, and guidance on ways of optimizing the score of your credit. Many other services that are available are based on software information that you will find rather difficult to understand. Your work is only to evaluate the results. If they are desirable, you are getting value for your money.

The bulk of folks probably experience credit tribulations at some time. Credit issues are becoming even more rife lately with the existing fiscal crunch. However, there are steps you can take to repair your credit and you do have the right to repair your credit.

Back in the 1970’s a Federal law was enacted that allowed consumers to take steps to repair their credit. It is projected that as many as 79% of all credit reports have mistakes and wrong or erroneous listings. You can stand up for yourself against and take actions to get the bad credit deleted.

Credit repair does not need to by perplexing. It may take some time to accomplish but it is worth it to see your credit scores increasing and to have the superior credit. You can try to do your credit repair on your own or you can appoint a expert but either way if you have any credit tribulations you need to repair your credit as soon as you can.

The very first step is to get a recent credit report. You are permitted to a complimentary report from each of the three main credit reporting agencies one time per year. The main agencies in the United States are TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. You are allowed to the free report without further obligation. If you call one of the “free credit report” advertisements you will discover that they are for a credit monitoring service. As soon as you receive your reports, you will need to consider them very cautiously and line by line. Once you have determined the wrong credit you will need to write correspondence of dispute. Be explicit and justify why the reporting needs to be deleted. Make sure that you keep a copy of all correspondence for yourself and also know that it may take more than one correspondence to get results. However, the creditors have a explicit period of time to prove the precision of their reporting or remove it from your account.

You should also pay down any unsettled debt that you have. Much of your credit score is determined by your debt to available credit ratio and if you can keep it beneath 20% you will be able to have the higher scores.

You can also request for some new credit accounts. Always make sure that you are being conscientious and that you are making your payments in the timely manner that is expected. With a little bit of effort and of course some time, you will have your credit repaired and your fiscal condition will be much enhanced.

Your mortgage application will be considered for approval based on the following questions: How high is your credit score? What type of information is in your credit history? What is your combined income? How many outstanding debts do you have? How much is your down payment?

Large down payments can help you overcome negative information on your credit history or a less than desired credit score. For the duration of your mortgage, however, you will pay higher fees and interest.

In short there is no way around having a low credit score. Even with a large down payment you will still need a good credit score to make home ownership a reality.

Specifically, you should aim to have a 758 average credit score to qualify for the lowest interest rates, according to CNN.com.

Now, more than ever, it is important to have a good credit score to qualify for the best rates. The credit crisis has forced the mortgage companies to raise the minimum credit score, within the last 12-18 months.

How to Obtain the Minimum Credit Score for a Mortgage

Your credit score can be a very confusing topic. However, if you focus simply on removing any bad credit information, you can make good progress.

If you have derogatory information on your credit report, the “experts” say you can’t remove it. It is in their best interest that you think you have to wait 7-10 years for the bad information to disappear, in order to raise your credit score.

You can take matters into your own hands by obtaining your credit report to see what’s on it. Quite frequently, there are mistakes or errors that you can challenge now, and not wait 7-10 years for it to disappear.

To dispute these errors you can start with a dispute letter addressed to the credit bureau or credit bureaus. Otherwise, you will have to work directly with the creditor to resolve the mistake.

Often, an expertly worded credit dispute letter will resolve the inconsistency. Although it has been shown that investigation methods are often sloppy and error prone.

This is because they ” the credit bureaus -must spend potential profits on time and resources to investigate any dispute. The unfortunate truth is that some credit bureaus have found it more cost effective to delay or ignore your dispute altogether.

Credit bureaus bank on the fact that you will probably give up and live with the cost of bad credit. Many people hire credit repair services to represent them in the dispute process.

When Will My Low Credit Score Be Raised

Most people are anxious to know how long it will take to raise their credit score. Each case is different, but typically, it takes an average of 6 to 12 months to see a drastic improvement in your credit score.

While this may seem like a long time, it is better than waiting 7 to 10 years for the negative information to automatically fall off your credit report. Waiting 6 to 12 months to raise your credit score is worthwhile, especially when you want to own your own home.

Recently I was applying for a loan and needed to increase my credit score. I needed to get above 650 to qualify for the rate I wanted. My current score was 590. I was able to repair my bad credit fast and got my score to 700 in less than 60 days.

According to the Better Business Bureau “Everything a credit counselor can do for you legally, you can do for yourself at little or no cost”. also 70% of all credit reports contain errors.

The method I used to repair my bad credit fast took less than 60 days. With this in mind you should not apply for a loan until you have confirmed your score is where you want it to be.

The first thing a lender will do is pull your credit report. They can get them the same day. The best part about this is that even if your score is only temporarily increased it will have served it’s purpose.

I found a site that lets you view your credit report for free with no obligations-Annualcreditreport.com This site does not require you to sign up for a mothly fee then require you cancel to view your complete report.

Since I was in a hurry I chose the option to view it online. I then searched it for any late payments. The first thing I did was dispute any medical bills listed as late. My brother works in the medical billing field, he told me they don’t have enough time to respond to credit bureaus to confirm late payments. I then went on to dispute all other late payments.

My objective was to dispute all late payments. The burden of proof is on the creditor to confirm there information. Most of time they will not do it in time or at all. Either way will accomplish our goal.

The key to getting items removed is to properly dispute them. I will go into this some more later. Write letters giving all important information regarding which accounts you want to dispute. the credit bureaus have 30 days to confirm the information. If they have not confirmed the items they must be removed.

The consumer credit reporting act states that the credit bureaus must give you a copy of your report after they have made any changes per your request.

The steps to repair bad credit fast is not a difficult one. I was able to lift my score 110 points in less then 2 months. To get an easy to follow road map to improved credit go to repairbadcreditfast.info

Did you know that there are some credit repair secrets that can help raise your score up to sixty points in 30 days with one phone call? This is right, this is not a gimmick, there really are techniques out there that can do this and i have personally used this technique with hundreds of clients and seen success!

When you purchase a home, the money lender gives you the choice of using a gift of money from a family member as your down payment when you close. Well instead of having family members gift you a down payment, have them gift you credit history instead which will give you more buying power. I want to make this very clear right from the beginning that you only want to use this secret Im about to share with you with family and friends that have a 700 credit score or higher! If a family member does not have this high of a score then use a friend who does. This credit technique is called mirroring a trade line.

The very first thing to mirroring a trade line is to first of all find the person you require to mirror. Again only use someone who has a 700 mid credit score or higher. If you have found this person you can safely say that if they help you with this process that there is not a thing you can do to hurt their credit scores or history. Let the individual know that they will be gifting you some of their credit score history that will help you make the home purchase you require to make. Also let them know that they can remove you from their credit accounts at any time.

The way that this secret technique works is that you are having some ones good credit history attached to your social security number and your name. For example, if my sister doesn’t have good credit and i have 15 years worth of good credit history, i could add her to a few of my good credit accounts. If i added her to a discover card that i have had for 3 years, it would copy 3 years of really good standing credit history on to her account. So how exactly do you mirror?

Have the person you have selected to help you, call one or two of their creditors. Credit card accounts are the easiest to add an individual to. Have the family member or friend tell their credit company that they want to make you a joint applicant. Make sure that the credit company asks for your social as this is the only way credit is associated to you. Too often people get made joint user’s instead of joint applicants instead which do nothing to help your credit.

There is one major warning to using this credit secret. If you mirror someones credit cards and that person does something to mess up their accounts it will effect your credit score. If you know that someone is about to go through a financial hard time, make sure you get taken off their credit accounts to ensure that your credit score doesnt go down with the ship.

A foreclosure will effect your life and finances for a long while to come. Specifically, a foreclosure remains as a huge black mark on your credit reports for years. That, among other reasons, is why you should avoid a foreclosure, which is possible by negotiating with your mortgage lender.

You can still possibly prevent foreclosure if you are willing to be up front with your bank and let them know exactly where you stand financially when it looks like you’re going to default, or start missing payments. Loan modification is also a tool to help you recover from a close call, and involves adjusting the terms of your loan, such as interest rates and monthly payments, or could even mean adding missed payments to the tail of the mortgage.

Some banks, in the interest of avoiding foreclosures with their properties, will agree to sell a house quickly for less than its market value. This is called a short sale. It can stop foreclosure, but its probably more beneficial to the bank than it is to you. It acts very similarly to a foreclosure in terms of reducing your credit score, though a short sale will mean that you could be eligible to buy a home again much sooner.

If neither loan modification or short sale works, then there isn’t too many options remaining. Here is what you can expect to experience:

The bank sends out a Notice of Default after the first missed payment.

Shortly after this (at 60 days post missed payment), the lender will contact you to encourage any payment amount to help keep you current on your loan.

After 90 days of missed payments the lawyers typically get involved.

You may then find that, in as little as 180 days from your first missed payment, your property will go to auction. After that you have the option to either leave voluntarily or wait for eviction, which could take several weeks or several months to happen.
