The United Kingdom is the most popular destination for MBA students in Europe, and probably one of the most popular in the world. But the last year UK experienced a drop of a 15 % n the number of applications and 10 per cent in the number of enrolled students according the Financial Times\’ survey.

Some speculate that the hard border control is one of the reasons for the decreasing number of MBA students in the United Kingdom, and that difficulty in getting a work visa after graduating makes potential MBA students think twice before applying to business schools in the UK.

The reason for this is that the previous PSW – Post-Study Work visa program closed down April 1st 2012. The closure of this scheme does not affect EU citizens, however might have scared of International applicants. The Post-Study Work Visa allowed International students outside the European Union to stay in the country for up to two year to find work.

The change now will mean that the students need to find work before their student visa is expiring. The student visa expires six months after graduation, so many of the MBA recruiters at the top business schools mean that this change has little to no effect on their students, because of the attractiveness of their graduates after finished studies.

16 top UK business schools were included in a survey by the Financial Times. When Financial Times arrives at their Global MBA ranking, only business schools which have had graduates in the last preceding three years and those with current accreditations by AMBA, AASCB or EQUIS are included. This Global MBA ranking does not represent every Business School in the United Kingdom.

In the past several years, there has been a huge increase in the United Kingdom in the number of private, as opposed to public business schools. To counter this, established universities are looking to set up business school branches in the larger cities in order to meet the demand for this type of program.

Since London is such a popular destination for MBA students, institutions offering MBAs, like Coventry University, have been setting up divisions of their business school there. The competition for future MBA students has led to the creation of MBA programs or executive MBA programs by smaller private institutions as well as by universities in other countries within the UK, like Wales.

There are currently 12 000 students doing a on-campus MBA in the UK offered by 140 institutions. In London, which is the most popular place to study for an MBA degree, there are 38 institutions which offer variations of the MBA program.

The popularity of the MBA has increased. However according to the Financial Times United Kingdom has experienced declinings numbers of students doing an MBA in UK. OnlineMBAfair.com provides you with all the institutions that provide an MBA in London.

Well-trained personnel are valued for every business and most hiring managers prefer to have well-trained and highly effective personnel. The department of human resources primarily takes care of the undertaking of employee training. Ideally, employees ought to be trained at regular intervals as they determine a company\’s prosperity. Here is where \”on-the-job\” training gives you the much needed help. Not only does this type of training equip employees with the essential professional skills, but also shows that the employers are ready to invest in them.

Personnel training is a priceless investment in terms of building a company\’s human resources. Organizing on-the-job training sessions might serve to provide the real training needed. Most importantly, these training sessions relate closely with what the employees do on their job. This ensures that the investment in training gives considerable returns in the form of better trained and productive employees.

An on the job training plan created by the management or the human resources department need not to interfere with the regular working schedule of employees. Rather, a skillful staff member can perform the training session while other employees continue to work. Training sessions need to promote learning i.e. the employees should nurture a strong connection with the information shared during the working hours.

In some cases employees feel that the training sessions are only a waste of time if they don\’t motivate them or improve them professionally. A better technique from the employer\’s side would be to ask employees for suggestions and ways that the training program can be tailored. The human resources department can also perform a survey to find out whether or not the employees are content with the training process. If the majority feels that the method needs to be modified, the employers should look to apply the changes. This will put a stop to the squandering of valuable human resources.

The training location should have the required training material and resources (including text, video and multimedia) within easy reach of the employees. Training sessions involving the use of images, graphics and videos are more fruitful. This is because the employees are able to remember information that is more vital and are far less distracted during the undertaking.

Telecommuters are individuals who spend part, if not all, of their working hours away from the workplace. For most people it is their home. So a person would need a telephone, internet, different computer programs, and a fax machine to be able to do business from home.

Telecommuters need to have excellent skills when it comes to the laborious task of telephone interviews. First of all, you should always be prepared in case you are contacted for an interview. Many employers do not give telecommuters the heads up in advance about when they will be calling to speak with them.

Another important phone interview tip is to get ready for your interview in much the same way you would for a regular \”in person\” interview. Anticipate what questions you might be asked and have appropriate answers in your mind (or written on paper) before the interview even begins. You should always be ready and willing to answer when you are asked about your educational background, work experience, and skills. You should also tell the prospective recruiter or employer what you can do for him.

Next, prepare a list of questions that you want to ask the interviewer. Asking questions would show your interest in the job. Keep in mind that phone interviews are sometimes more difficult to gauge because you have to rely completely on the spoken word. Both parties cannot see the body language of the other, so the pitch and intonation of words is very important. Make sure you keep your tone of voice professional and respectful at all times.

During a phone interview, remember to be confident. You should avoid saying \”Um, I don\’t know, or Uh\” as these words can make you seem not confident. Always have your resume nearby so you can consult it during your phone interview. After all the interviewer is looking at your resume, why shouldn\’t you be as well?

And during the interview, you should be alone in the room to prevent distractions, have some paper and a pen with you, and turn off the call-waiting feature on your phone.

There are many vendors out there for human resources services. Each company has a requirement of such a vendor for HR services. I will give you some guidance on how to choose such a vendor. Human resource is the management of employees in a company. We will also discuss on human resources outsourcing for your company. Each company does need to focus on this as the achievement of a company directly depends on the improvement of its Human Resources.

Your company\’s requirements should be pretty clear before you start speaking to a HR vendor. It is very much essential to know if you need the whole thing to be implemented together or it has to be progressed gradually. You also have to clarify whether your service from the vendor is concerned with limitations or it would be even more detailed. You have to make these things clear before selecting the right vendor.

Another important factor to be considered is the cost of the project that you have to meet in recruiting the HR personal. You have to consult about this with your staff and come to a conclusion about the extent of the amount that your company could spend. You have to think well about the results that would augment the growth of your business or not. You can ask the vendors to show their success rate in executing such type of jobs in the past.

There are several things to look for when choosing an HR outsourcing company. Whether you are have a big company or own a small business, make sure that the provider is able to work with you. Some can only cater to one of these types and not both. Improving your type of business is the capability that the HR Company that you are hiring must have.

Find the method of charging by the vendor, they may be charging per hour or on the basis of completed jobs. Anyway, ascertain that factor before reaching an agreement with the vendor. Now you can go for the start.

For more info, just yahoo a keyword such as global hr or even hr services. Good luck..

Career Enhancement

There comes a point in time when we have to define our career. Right or wrong, the decision will be a turning point as it will set the course of our life from then on.

How do you make such a choice?

One thing that you must realize is that making a career decision is not a crossing of the Rubicon. If you made a bad decision, it does not mean that you have to bear the burden for life. Therefore if you find the road rough and bumpy, you can always change direction.

Once you have found your niche, your next focus should be on your long range career plan and that means equipping yourself with the tools for advancement. This is termed as Career Enhancement where an employed person acquires practical and academic credentials for advancement.

Most professions, if not all, must be upgraded all the time to keep up with new developments. Professional organizations typically advertise programs and allocate credits for enhancement courses.

If you are not in a professional organization set up your own career advancement program. Sometimes a seminar here and there will do, or you may need a comprehensive review and refresher program. What really matters is that the individual will make the right move befitting his unique situation. Then, do at least one class a year. In the event that there is no career enhancement program in your corporation and you have to provide the funding yourself, do it.

An individual should revise his professional resume to show all the new classes and training he has completed. Keep a log of your classes, instructors and where you attended them. The real value in this will unfold as you prepare for your annual review, ask for a raise or promotion or search for a new job.

A person can start the ball rolling by setting a goal and to formulate a program to reach that goal. Even if you are alone on your path you can grow in your career.

The key is to make that initial move. Make the first step toward your career enhancement goals even if you feel uncertain. Action opens all kinds of unseen opportunities and clarifies issues once you get going forward. The point of the exercise is to set a goal in your professional career and to work your way up into attaining that goal.

See what the motor insurance singapore market has to offer you.
