I researched and found the best methods to read faster, and I wrote several courses and taught them privately, and later in colleges and universities in the US mainland and all the way out to Hawaii. That was fun.

Many years later I got hurt, and had to have some surgeries and they made things worse – so I had lots of time to get teachers, principals, and writers together and we developed the world’s most complete speed reading courses which are at speedread.org and other sites including speedreadcomplete.com . Economic slowdown is taking its toll and numerous U.S. citizens right this minute are feeling the pinch as hundreds of thousands of people are losing their homes, employment and future. High costs of gasoline and essential goods are also making it tougher for American households to survive without additional income. During these times, individuals are thinking of ways on how to economize which is particularly true for families that look after one, two or more kids. Between feeding them and sending them all to school, these households will certainly have to cut back in some places in order to survive.

Nevertheless, it isn’t just the responsibility of adults to be careful because saving money during a slump, young people can also play a necessary part. As a matter of fact, they can utilize these tight times to instruct their youngsters about saving money for hard times. This will help them deal with tighter periods in the future should they go through this again when they have families of their own. Discussed below are a few of the methods that you can teach your children about saving up.

Oftentimes it is hard for parents to accept but kids can be understanding and when you explain the situation to them clearly, with examples they understand, hopefully they will be in a position to understand. Many will even help out on their own volition without you instructing them what they need to do, because instructing them as to the reasons why they should do something is more impressive than instructing them outright. The latter will normally antagonize them or will cause them to rebel as they sense you are ordering them about without any cause.

Tell them that laying aside will permit them to have some funds should they have to buy something that they want. A share of their lunch money – for example a quarter or two, is a good way to begin. Naturally, do not deter them from buying food when they must eat but tell them that if they are not hungry, they can save the money so that they can use more for the next day.

Overfeeding children is a problem so keep a handle on this which will help them to stop trying to get more than they can use. Always ask them to clean their plates every time – that way they will only get the food that they will be able to eat. This will teach them about saving and buying only the things that they require. This is a great coaching for the future so that they will not become adults with ‘maxed out’ credit cards, buying products that they do not really need in the first place. Let’s be honest, whatever your kid does is only a reflection of what you are doing at home, so if you require the kids to start laying aside, make sure that you are also playing your role in saving in these times of economic slowdown.

During these tough economic times a lot of people and businesses are having a hard time paying all their bills and staying afloat. Collection agency’s are in high demand right now. It looks as if every day there are 100’s of new people and companies who need a hand in getting their debt collected.

While the debt may be coming in at a rapid rate to collection agencies, it does not mean the debtors have the money to pay the debt. So what is a collection agency to do to get the debt collected?

Well it all comes down to a matter of class! How is your collection agency behaving towards your debtors? Are they yelling and screaming at them? Telling them they are going to sue them and take everything from them down to their underwear?

Or is your Collection Agency talking to your debtors with respect? Letting them know that things are hard right now for everyone? By having your debtors hate the collection agency, and now you, is not going to encourage a debtor pay their bill any faster.

The key is an agency that will assist the debtor. One that will find out how much money they have and what they can do? Most companies would rather have their money come back to them at a slow pace over time, rather then never getting the money back at all and having a past loyal customer now hating them!!!

Times are tough for us all, if we work together we can all come threw this recession with pride and dignity!
