Why Use Business Directories From Strathmore’s Who’s Who
An annual two thousand page hard cover biographical registry, honoring successful individuals in the fields of Business, the Arts and Sciences, Law, Engineering, and Government is published by Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Mid to upper level management professionals from companies, large and small, throughout the United States as well as internationally are selected. The entire publication can be searched on their website with all types of search options.
Reference value is how the selection of individual for listing in the publications is based. Professionals become eligible for listing by virtue of their positions and/or noteworthy achievements that have proved to be of significant value to society. An insufficient reason for being listed is the individual’s desire to be listed. Social position or wealth is not criteria. Purchasing the book is never a cause in the selection of individuals.
Strathmore’s Top Ten listing consists of 10 individuals in a certain industry, profession or occupation. This information is on Strathmore’s website. In order to be selected to this membership, the criteria is based on the individual’s accomplishments or achievements in his or her particular field and is limited to only ten members in each category.
Individuals who you feel merit inclusions should be nominated. Strathmore will reveal the identity of the nominator is asked by the nominees.
Strathmore’s Who’s Who has a program called the Roundtable which is an elite program designed to take every aspect of membership to a new and until now charted territory. There is a reservation for fifty of the best professionals and that number will never be higher in any given year. This position is the most sought after position of power, prestige and limitless opportunity from the 55,000 members. You will be seeing these fifty members in new places over the coming months.
Each of these individuals will be given a full page with a color photograph and logo in the next hardcover edition of Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Through a rigorous screening process, this year’s Roundtable candidates were chosen based on their certification, accomplishments, aspirations and history without organization. With the arrival of this new program, this company has seen an inflow of applications, letters and offers from people seeking a position at the Roundtable.

- Your Small Business Needs a Toll-Free Number. Here is Why.
Small business startups and entrepreneurs have something in common. A vision of David and Goliath. Both invest a lot of resources into taking down the Big Bad Corporations that enabled them to start their own business. These small businesses and entrepreneurs possess the skills and right approach. They commit themselves (rightly) to the customer. Ultimately, they have all of the tools and attitudes needed to succeed. But then something happens. Either a few slow months or some kind of "spooky" incident drains these folks of their steam. When we ask what happened, we often hear that they just couldn't compete with the Big Boys (or in some paranoid cases we even get a "they had it out for me" excuse). Come on, who really believes this?
- Your Part-Time or Full Time Business?
One question I tend to get asked at this point is "Steve, should I run my new home-based business on a part-time or full time basis? - Should I give up my job and throw myself into it 100% both in commitment and time, or should I start working it just a few hours a week, part-time, initially?" Here's my thoughts...
- Your Own Small Business: Ebay Online Auction
People have been talking about making money online for years. In most cases they are referring to making money in an online auction called eBay. Perhaps you tried it a couple times. You may have browsed the sales and even made some tenuous bids. EBay is a revolving door of used and collectable items. There is also a large amount of new items which are offered for auction. It is a dizzying array of items: phones, DVDs, cars, vacation time in time shares, and about everything you can imagine. What you may not have realized is that online auctions are an opportunity for the little people, you and me, to start our own business and get our own products or inventions in front of the eBay public.
- Your Own Offshore Account
You've probably seen some sort of mob movie or seen on the news where a criminal has stored money in an offshore account. You may even associate an offshore account as being something that only the rich own because they are trying to evade taxes or they just want to show off how fancy their life is by bragging about their Swiss bank account. Whatever the reason for offshore bank accounts, they are not always for criminal activity. In fact, fewer individuals use them for criminal purposes and more use them as a way to save money.
